Queensland's, Sunshine Coast is situated 100 kilometres north of Brisbane. Just one hour of comfortable driving from Brisbane has you in the heart of the coast at Maroochydore, and at the Maroochy Swan Holiday Prelude Bowls Carnival. Five major carnivals with prize money in excess of AUD120,000, conducted during June, July and August are the prime reasons why over 4,600 participants from all States of Australia and New Zealand make the Sunshine Coast their preferred holiday and bowling destination. Maroochy Swan Holiday Carnival Prelude commences with a series of one and two day events. The highlight of this carnival is the annual Kiwi versus Aussies Challenge cup, where the traditional Trans Tasman rivalry is seen at its best with all players enjoying the spirit and dressed for the occasion in national colours.
