Prior this coming 2010/11 Victorian Bowls season, the RVBA (now Bowls Victoria) State Pairs Championship was conducted under the 2x2x2x2 format with 15 ends for sectional play and 18 ends for finals.

With Bowls Australia creating a National Champion of Champions Pairs event in the 3 Bowl Pairs, setsplay format, Bowls Victoria has seen fit to change the State Championship to 3 Bowl Pairs while maintaining the current 15 and 18 ends.

Setsplay is a lottery and 3 Bowl Pairs is a far inferior format to the traditional 2x2x2x2 format and makes the roll of the lead largely redundant.

This petition is to show Bowls Victoria that bowlers are opposed to this change.
