BowlsWorld.com.au was founded in May 2006.
The vision is to not only have a comprehensive bowls site, but to also
allow bowlers to have a voice through the news, opinion and forum sections.
For too long lawn bowls has been the poor cousin to the majority of
sports, even though it has the second highest participation rate out of
all organized sport in Australia.
The demographic of lawn bowls has changed dramatically in the past few
years, and is being embraced by thousands of 20somethings and
Generation Xers. "The barefoot bowls has made a huge impact on the reputation of the
game and seeing our national and state teams with an abundance of
players in their 20s, is very exciting for the potential of the sport."

with the other leading sports in this country.
